10 “New” Rules for Writers

1. Try not to drink alcohol before 8pm, 6pm, noon.

2. Never release work with tipos in it

3. Don’t quit the day job or find someone willing to pay for you

4. Be nice to your agent, your editor, your reviewers, everyone – it’s a digital age

5. Follow Elmore Leonard’s 10 Rules of  Writing

6. Follow Heinlein’s Rules of Writing

7. Break all the rules – be interesting

8. Remember to eat; and fall in and out of love

9. Love what you do

10. Write
